My Approach
I believe that healing happens within the safety of a trusting therapeutic relationship, when we are gently challenged to feel our feelings more fully, look at things from a new perspective, and have a new and different experience of ourselves and others. We will work together to help you cope with and move through painful emotions, and help you feel more grounded and connected to yourself and others.
My style is warm, gentle, and direct. I am a relational therapist and incorporate a wide range of interventions; we'll focus on emotions while also integrating concrete tools. I am an active participant in your journey, using the therapeutic relationship and what is happening in the here-and-now as tools in our work.
We'll work together to connect past and present, and understand and address what's underneath the stress or tension or pain that is bringing you to therapy. If you’re interested in working together, let’s connect for a free 15-minute phone consultation. From there, we’ll do a full intake and assess further if it feels like we could be a good fit.
I graduated from New York University with a Master in Social Work in 2015, and have worked in community mental health and private practice since. I have completed advanced training in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), trauma treatment, and perinatal mental health.
